Households

We will normally collect from households only in these postcode areas:

  • BS1 - BS11
  • BS13 - BS16
  • BS20 - BS25
  • BS29 - BS32
  • BS34 - BS37
  • BS39 - BS41
  • BS48
  • BA1 - BA3

It should be possible to arrange a collection within two weeks - usually much sooner.

Our social enterprise partner, SOFA Project, will collect up to 3 items, each no bigger than a standard sized domestic appliance (85 cm x 60 cm x 60 cm) for a donation of £20. Each additional item, over three, will be charged at £10 an item.

If any item is a fridge, freezer or fridge/freezer, which are 'hazardous waste' items as defined by the Environment Agency, requiring special measures during recycling, a charge of £15 will be required.

If any item contains a cathode ray tube, such as an old style computer monitor or television, which are also hazardous items requiring special measures during recycling, a charge of £10 will be required.

Businesses

We will collect from businesses anywhere in the following postcode areas:

  • All BS
  • All BA
  • All DT
  • All SN
  • All SP
  • All TA
  • GL5
  • GL8 - GL9
  • GL11 - GL13

It should be possible to arrange a collection within three weeks - usually much sooner.

Our fees are determined by size and weight of the items to be collected, and the distance from Bristol of the site to be visited. Typically, fees will range from £25 to collect 3 computer monitors within the city of Bristol, through £55 to collect a commercial freezer from Bath, to £95 to collect 10 laser printers from Salisbury.

Refrigeration delivered to our depot: as a special introductory offer we will arrange disposal of any fridge, freezer or fridge/freezer brought to our Days Lane depot for just £32 plus VAT.
