REVAMP approved as a Designated Collection Facility for WEEE
On 30 May 2007 the DTI confirmed that SOFA Project's REVAMP WEEE Depot at Days Lane St Philips Bristol was approved as a Designated Collection Facility under Regulation 55 of the WEEE Regulations 2006 for the collection of all five WEEE streams, namely:
- Large Domestic Appliances other than refrigeration
- Refrigeration
- Display equipment containing Cathode Ray Tubes (CRTs)
- Lamps - Fluorescent Tubes, Gas Discharging Lamps
- All other WEEE
This approval carries no end-date.
REVAMP accepted as an Approved Authorised Treatment Facility for WEEE
On 15 June 2007 the Environment Agency issued a licence to SOFA Project's REVAMP WEEE Depot at Days Lane St Philips Bristol to operate as an Approved Authorised Treatment Facility and to issue Evidence Notes for WEEE that is received there and is either re-used as whole appliances or is passed on to another AATF (or an approved exporter) for recycling. The licence number is WEE/BK0002ZS/ATF and is valid for the period 1 July 2007 to 31 December 2007.
