REVAMP was established in 2007 in order to generate contract services income to underpin the charitable trading activities of the Bristol-based furniture reuse charity SOFA PROJECT (Registered Charity No 287088, Registered Company No 1697726). REVAMP is one of a number of not-for-profit 'Third Sector Authorised Reusers of WEEE' which are operated by members of FRN Enterprises, the trading arm of the charity the Furniture Reuse Network (Registered Charity No 1090824, Registered Company No 4154818). As such we are audited by FRNE and are accepted by the DTI and the major WEEE Producer Compliance Schemes as an approved Third Sector Partner (in contrast to other, profit-driven, operators in the open market who lack our social impact and do not provide the opportunities, as we do, for employment of people on the margins of the job market).
